Colorado weather: Tornado warning in SW Weld County as funnel cloud touches down north of Denver

A tornado warning is in effect until 6 p.m. in southwest Weld County after a funnel cloud touched down southeast of Mead on Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

The tornado was spotted near Platteville at 5:24 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, and was moving northeast at 10 mph. Areas that are impacted include Firestone, Milliken, Mead, Platteville and Gilcrest.
