There will be snow in the coming days, just not in Denver. The high country should see a light storm over the weekend, making for some lovely powder days.
The high for Denver on Thursday is 51 degrees under partly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. The clouds will remain as the temperature drops to 28 degrees overnight.
It will be mostly sunny with a high near 57 on Friday; the low will drop to 27 degrees. It should be a pristine day to get out for an afternoon activity.
Saturday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 50, but it will be windy. Northwest wind around 25 mph and gusts as high as 40 mph will indicate the small storm hitting the high country. A few inches of accumulation around the divide is possible. The overnight low will drop to 27 degrees in Denver.
The next chance for a snowmaker in the metro area will be the middle of next week, with a possible strong system coming through the region.
