Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic exits game against Jazz with knee injury

SALT LAKE CITY — Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic left Tuesday night’s game against the Utah Jazz with a right knee contusion late in the first half. After testing it out at halftime, including warming up and taking shots, Jokic did not start the second half.

He is out for the rest of the game, a league source told The Post.

With 1:54 left in the second quarter, Jokic appeared to bang knees with Utah center Rudy Gobert. He writhed on the ground near the baseline for a few moments as the team’s trainer tended to him.

Eventually, he walked off under his own power and headed to the locker room.

At the time he went down, Jokic had 24 points and was 8-of-9 from the field.
